Going to be in town for a few days looking to do some activities?  Browse our half day trips and book a trip to learn more about the culture of Costa Rica.  All tours require a minimum of 2 participants and include round trip transportation from San Ramon.  Tours can be booked for morning or afternoon.

Zip Line Canopy Tour    $60/person

Spend the afternoon experiencing the rainforest from above.  You’ll fly on cables that run tree-to-tree throughout the rainforest and take in the view much like a bird, or even a monkey would.  In addition, swing like Tarzan and soar like Superman on the final line.  Optional add ons include hanging bridges and a butterfly garden. 

Coffee Plantation Tour     $35/person

Come see how coffee is harvested in the fields and brought to the processing plant to eventually be shipped out for purchase.  Learn how to brew the perfect cup of coffee and where the best coffee in the world is.

Animal Rescue Center Visit       $50/person

This is a great opportunity to experience solidarity with wild animals.  The animal rescue center tour is sure to dissolve your heart as you’ll see just how much care is given to injured and abandoned rainforest animals.  From monkeys to sloths and even goats, each animal is shown unconditional love, and inspired to make it back to the wild someday by the staff and volunteers.

Villa Blanca Cloudforest Hike        $46/person

Do you know how many types of rainforests there are?  Experience this cloud forest just outside San Ramon and learn about this ecosystem on a guided hike.  See the different kinds of plants that live off this forest such as orchids.  Observe birds, frogs and insects and marvel at all the working parts that makes up the ecosystem of this forest.

Trapiche Sugar Cane Processing Demonstration    $17/person

Wednesdays only.  This trip takes you to the outskirts of San Ramon to see how families produce sugar from sugar cane on their farm.  Starting with the raw stalk, you’ll follow it through all the ovens and tubs to the sale ready product.  You’ll also sample agua dulce, a sweet drink made from the cane. 

San José City Tour      $46/person

No Mondays.  With so much natural beauty to see in Costa Rica, the capital city often gets overlooked.  Walk the main pedestrian avenue, visit a street market, and tour the National museum that even has a butterfly garden in the heart of an urban area.

Tours are available daily unless otherwise noted and require at least 2 participants with a minimum 24hr notice.  Extra charges may apply for pickups outside immediate San Ramon central area.
